Started a new game today in a bit more organised fashion.

Base

Inside of the "lobby", haven't been arsed to add anything to it yet.

Main shaft leading down to Base level 1 mining area.

Before entering the mining hall itself, I have two rooms, other being the "Equipment Storage & Maintenance", housing two furnaces, workbench and 4 large chests to stockpile mining equipment.

And the one opposite to "ES&M", is the "Ore Storage", housing 6 large chests to stockpile the mining waste for future use.

Base level 1 mining hall, finished mining shaft A to the point where I broke into an cavern with looots of nasty noises so I sealed it and going to start shaft B to the left of shaft A.

EDIT: Ow and the "Mother Nature" sure has sense of humor in this one, it had made Oberon's ArmA face to one of the mountains. Needless to say, one of my goals is to get some TNT and go blow that monocle out of his bloody face.

Mt. Oberon

Nice textures. Does it make the glass more clear?

Home is where the hearth is. (sorry)

Mine in progress.

My life's work, complete.

Hey! I can see my house from here! (again, my apologies)

I've been trying to resist this game. Just because I don't want to get addicted and end up buying it. But I just gave in and downloaded it.

My humble beginnings:

Here are some tree saplings I planted to regrow the trees I had cut down

My humble hut

My hut again, but here you can see briefly inside and the door I had made out of wood. Once I find some coal I'm going to create torches to light it, and glass for the windows.

Will be getting dokus RPG textures pack soon. Damn you guys for showing me this game.

Edit: Just found this video:

It's hilarious.

The roof of my base has some glass on it (the grid-ish thingy). It's clear, but don't know if I like the grids.

Also, I've heard that bricks are on fire () if you use this mod, not sure if it's fixed.

Whoa, this a personal record. Mined shaft B onwards for 9 stone pickaxes worth, 37 blocks of iron and 42 pieces of coal.

You need sticks and coal. Here you can see how to do it. Also you see everything you can do in this game.

Looks like your wearing cardboard.

Here's me carving out a small hill for my future main area. Starting a cave in the back, plus there is a small cave behind me that's natural.

The front of my main building. It has no roof yet. So cows/sheep/and pigs keep falling in from the cliff above.

Screwed up the picture but here is my little work area room. I'll eventually finish the walls

And the final picture was to messed up but it shows where my first cave will be.

Is there an actual screenshot button? I've been using prt screen and paint.

Thank, that is just perfect.. Now I just need to know how you use tables so you can create larger things?

So I was placing my roof from the inside, and my game glitched, causing me to spawn a brick in the space I was occupying. I tried feebly to break my way out, but ended up dying.

I noticed my game is glitching. The character will lock up for a short while swinging a tool. At one point I was able to see through the terrain to lava at the bottom.

As a side note, playing this game without sound is creepy as hell. Tis why I turned off monsters. Can't wait to buy the game so I can get sound.

It is an alpha version, so there will be glitches.

Great screens everyone.

@Spike88, Imagine exploring caverns with no sound, that's really creepy. Almost jumped out of my chair when I turned and saw a spider!

Mt Oberon!! Love it!

Well, with the lighthouse and harbour completed and the railway to the lava mine completed, my immediate goals have been achieved. So I think I'd better start crafting myself a little castle or some such place.

In the meantime, here's some pictures from the freeware version of Minecraft that I played before getting the Alpha. In it you can place any block anywhere and break them just as quickly, it's fun but not quite as fun as the Alpha version.
