Damned cheap, but little or no gameplay, but it is supposed to be really good. And it's just within my budget.
Played the original, the storyline was...errr...but the graphics were moody and beautiful.

I heartily recommend Red Orchestra, its a damn fun FPS, especially for that price. A bit hard to get into though and be prepared to die a lot!.

How about Wings of prey? Does it handle well without a joystick or is it almost required? Is DCS black shark the same way, very poor handling without a joystick?

Wings of Prey has a demo. Somehow I doubt you will still be interested after trying it, but you'll have your answer.

You might want to check about it.

Yes. You very much need to have a joystick to play any of the DCS products.
Unless you don't care about flying and just want to sit at the airfield and press
buttons and flick switches.

It's like stepping into an actual flight simulator, pointing at the control stick or yoke, and asking "do I really need that?".

Off hand (not at home PC at moment)

Some Railworks DLC
Entire PC collection of GTA
GalCiv II complete

Probably works out about £10-20.

If I'm honest there wasn't a great deal that piqued my interest this year. Perhaps I'm becoming a gamer snob...?

Didn't spend a dime on Steam sales.

Then again, I bought DCS: P-51D, so total: $39.99

Didn't spend a penny, either.

But nor did I buy P-51.

Yet.

Might have to get Silent Storm...

And only a month (forget that, only a week!) until matrixgames' prices drop to reasonable levels for a while!
