Winter 1945
WAR!!
The United States, in a policy reversal declares war on Japan. However caution still limits American actions and the submarines are forbidden to engage in unrestricted warfare, due to some propaganda clash with the ASW against the cruel U-boats. American forces deploy to Australia and Pearl Harbor with maximum speed

British and Commonwelath forces have success in Noumea
After months of fighting the Anzacs finally capture the port of Noumea from the isolated Japanese who reported to be out of ammunition and half starved at the time of surrender. Relatively few POWs were taken. The chain of ports across the Pacific is now complete and American forces can redploy using DDs all the way from the US box to anywhere in the Pacific under friednly control without necessarily staying in the australia box FIghting in the area around Hollandia did not yield any progress

More War
The Soviet Union declares war on imperial Japan Japanese air in manchuria is neutralised by large fleets of Soviet aircraft in air battles. The japanese defended well shooting down 7 for the loss of 5. The Japanese ground forces soon discover just how different the Red Army is in 1946 from the army they faced in the skirmishes over the last 40 years. Massed T34s and infantry supported by air support smash the 3-2 infantry dug in at I26 three 2-2, a 4o5 and 2AAF hit at 2:1 But the grim Japanese defense repels the first assault with dreadful casualties (6 factors), but the Russians push on and make a second attack that breaks the Japanese line. Using the tactics honed against the germans, Russian armor pours into Manchuria through the breakthrough and proceed to assault the mountains west of Mukden in another tough and bloody battle. But the Russian forces succeed. Near vladivostok the Russians push west And from the north of Manchuria the russians push close to Harbin
