The doctor did say if the sounds are causing you to wake up during sleep, they may be an indicator of possible sleep apnea, a condition which can have many serious health consequences, particularly if you have high blood pressure (as I do). I'm going to keep an eye on my clicks if they get any worse...

My clicking only came on in bed lying on my left or right side, can't sleep on my back as pointed out on a earlier comment. Clicking came on within 10 minutes of laying down and just got louder on a very bad night. A good night I would just about get off to sleep then I wake up from the clicking or some other reason. I have been a bad sleeper for many years now and the clicking that came on last year did not help.

Any how just to say the nasal spray I am using as subscribed by my GP is Nasofan Aqueous 50mg, one spray up each nostril everyday. Just hope it lasts to Mid September for my next appointment. So far it has reduced the clicking by a good 90% resulting in my stress level going down.

The back sleeping element only comes into play if you have gained weight; otherwise, it seems not to be an element. I don't feel comfortable sleeping on my back; it is too mindful of the whole coffin pose thing. I sympathize with your sleep problems; I have had long bouts of insomnia for almost all my life and added difficulties such as clicking and whistling do nothing the improve the situation. I hope the doctors will be able to suss out the source of your condition. Take care of yourself, Steed...

I went to bed last night around midnight, took a Tramadol for my neck arthritis and woke around 2 am turned over and the room rotated!!! I got back off to sleep and woke around 5 am, room still rotating so I took some Asprin, got up at 7:30, room still rotating!! I don't like this and am on my own atm, I'll have to wait till my wife gets home before I can get to the docs, the ride should be interesting!! I assume an inner ear infection, never had this before but my wife has.
Now is the time to go on a roller coaster ride!!

Wow, not a great experience to have; hope it is something simple like an inner ear infection, but, whatever the cause, take it easy and be careful...

Not so long ago a female Facebook friend had the same problems as you have mentioned. Even she thought it was something with her ears

It turned out it was her neck who gave her this "rollercoaster" ride.

My asthma has been acting up because my inhaler was empty
So much for a placebo effect.

Today is my weekly dressing change at the hospital but my wife noticed a small blood stain on the base of my foot so I hope this isn't a backward step (no pun intended).

Funny you should say that, I have neck arthritis (bone on bone), the doctor wasn't sure what it is, I have to do these weird exercises for the next 2 weeks!! Yes I still have it but not as bad thankfully, I decided not to use my motorcycle.

There mustn't be any crap... the doctor doesn't want to find any crap, so you have to drink lots of horrible stuff to purge your bowels first.

I don't know whether I smelled like a mint afterwards, STEED
