Default Need some help

Earlier today I came to think about that the Danish support ship Esbern Snare is operating around Gulf of Aden.

Why not make a little mission where this ship are.

OK find the area on the map-found it.

Create sides-three part-Denmark, Somalia Pirates and civilian ships

Denmark-Neutral to wards Civilians and the Pirates

Pirates "hate" civilians and either neutral or unfriendly to wards Denmark.

Civilians neutral to wards Denmark and Pirates(that until one of the civilians ship is attacked.

Here is my problems

I couldn't find Esbern Snare among the Danish warships. I know she has a sister ship named Absalon.

I couldn't find AgustaWestland AW101 Helicopters among Danish Air force.
She has two of these

I picked an another Danish Warship and I picked two Lynx Helicopters instead.

I know that these Danish Helicopters are with some type of machine guns agains these RHB that these Pirates have- I just couldn't add ammo to these two Lynx.

I tried to find civilians ships- Couldn't find them.(have the feeling I have made a wrong search)

That's my problem so far.

I have watched some of Baloogans videos several times and I have read in the manual-Still I have massive problems adding weapons to my aircraft.

I couldn't find the Helicopters that these two Danish Support ship have AgustaWestland AW101 so I picked two other. this time I picked two Seaking...couldn't ad machine guns ammo to them.

I have, on Danish news seen one of these AgustaWestland AW101 firing in front of some small boat.. Therefore I know they are equipped with weapons.

Hi mapuc,

It looks like the AgustaWestland AW101 is known as the EH.101 Merlin in the database. http://wiki.baloogancampaign.com/ind...ircraft?ID=798

Looks like there even is a Denmark version of it too

Esbern Snare is a Absalon-class which is in command.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/HDMS_Esbern_Snare_(L17)

So lets place a Absalon-class ship; and a EH.101 Merlin

Lets name the Absalon class ship HDMS Esbern Snare (L17)

Now lets give the merlin a gun, I'm going to give it a 20mm gun
I select the helo, press weapons

Press Add Mount

Select the mount you want to add, and specify the ARC that it can fire out of (in this case I'm going to mount this weapon pointing forward)
Press Add Selected

And now I have a heavily armed danish EH101 merlin helicopter ready to blow some stuff up in the sea of aden!!

I'd upload the scenario I just made for you but I unfortunately built it with the beta database that isn't available yet, but will be with 1.06!

Cheers mapuc

Thank you so much Baloogan

Now I know what i have done wrong.

I have only clicked on the "Add Weapon Record"

Forgot something. After I have add a ship to the board I click on "Edit aircraft" thereby the aircraft will be added to the ship" Of course you can place the aircraft beside the ship and click on ".. another hombase" and click on the ship

So far so good.

Added three sides to the mission

Denmark, Shipping(different word for Commercial shipping) and Pirates

Postures

Denmark-Neutral to wards Pirates * and Shipping

Pirates Hostile to wards Shipping and unfriendly to wards Denmark

Shipping Neutral to wards Denmark and Pirates

Here's one of my problems

I can't get my pirates to attack the shipping.

* I want that the posture Denmark-Pirates turns from Neutral to Hostile, when the pirates have attacked the first Commercial shipping.

I also wonder if this Merlin could be the correct helicopter. The only thing I know it has room for XX-Danish Marines and is eguipped with a machine gun. I have as mentioned before seen it on Danish News and it didn't look that big.

Why I mentioned Westmoreland, it was from the Wiki.

I Call the mission
Operation Ocean Shield

Could give the pirates an ASuW mission (naval) to make them attack.

I want that the posture Denmark-Pirates turns from Neutral to Hostile, when the pirates have attacked the first Commercial shipping.
This can't be done just yet, this feature is in 1.06 which should be soon!

Quote:
The AgustaWestland AW101 is a medium-lift helicopter used in both military and civil applications. It was developed by joint venture between Westland Helicopters in the UK and Agusta in Italy in response to national requirements for a modern naval utility helicopter. Several operators, including the armed forces of Britain, Denmark and Portugal, use the name Merlin for their AW101 aircraft.[2][3] It is manufactured at factories in Yeovil, England and Vergiate, Italy; licensed assembly work has also taken place in Japan and the United States.
Prior to 2007, the aircraft had been marketed under the designation EH101. In 2000, Westland Helicopters and Agusta merged to form AgustaWestland, leading to the type's redesignation as AW101. The AW101 first flew in 1987, and entered into service in 1999. Since the AW101's introduction it has replaced several older helicopter types such as the Sikorsky S-61, performing roles such as medium-sized transport, anti-submarine warfare, and ship-based utility operations.
