For me it'll always be Captain Kirk. Maybe it is because Shatner was such an overdone ham of a performer always offering an assortment of impossibly intense, emotive performances, often ... including! oddly placed ... emphasis and ... pauses!
Me too, except for me it was the "my ship comes first" no nonsense attitude he gave off when dealing with aliens.
