Alas; poor Robespierre couldn't handle his suicide pistol very well and went to the slightly the worse for wear- considering his instigation of the Terror: "what goes around...occasionally comes down on ya!" The Third Maratha War proved what the British knew by that time and provided an excellent training ground for the young Arthur Wellesley.
