Hello all, and USS Sea Tiger,
how i would love to have a real WWI U-boat/submarine sim ! I must say those screens look great, and such a sim with the playability of SH III ... If you need translations, photos or any info about those boats just ask - i'm a complete idiot in modding and such, but if you need information about flotillas, which boat sunk when and why etc. just ask, and i will try to get the information. Please do not let this project die !! Shells of Fury is, well, "nice", but it is lacking sooo much ... but o have a WWI sim in SH III style would be Happy New Year to all, Greetings, Catfish |

I am back, and starting again
Hi all.
Sorry for the lapse,, Job took me away for a few months. I am back and starting again. While gone I completed the U-87 model, Now I will start skinning U-Duetchland so kindly offered to be by Deamon. That will bring in a whole new phase or way to try to live through the war. First up though I must kill the bug that is so damning this project. Why I cannot get the deck gun to work without CTD. If I leave in the attachment point for the deck gun, it CTD's every time and I am not smart enough yet to know why. To me this is a most important feature as the gun was used far more then the torpedo in WWI. Wish me luck. And sorry for being gone, it came up and I had 3 hours to pack and go. Sea Tiger |

Hello USS Sea Tiger,
i'm almost sure you already saw this, but ... http://www.pigboats.com/ww1/ub88.html and http://www.ub88.org/ there are some interior shots which would add to the atmosphere - too bad there is no real "torpedo" or "engine" compartment to "walk through" in SH III Additionally the german Bundesarchiv (State/Federal Archive ?) released a lot of photos that can be found here, some show actual photos from WW1 U-boats, if only a few. Example: http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Fi...plewood%22.jpg All is here: http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Ca...ederal_Archive Pictures by year: http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Ca...rchive_by_year All the best and greetings, Catfish |

VERY GOOD!!!!!!!!!
Great idea, and good, work, but... I hate to be the fun sucker, but using the models from Shells of Fury is technically illegal (I won't tell if you don't) because the models are under copyright. BUT if one was to make considerable change to the models (I.E. re-texture and tweak) then models, and give credit to the developer of Shells of Fury, I think you could get away with it. Very Cool, Keep up the Good Work!!!!! Very Anxious to play! :r ock:
