Default Ships in Destroyer Command

I was thinking of getting a copy of Destroyer Command from eBay so that I could use Pacific Aces for SH2. I was just wondering, what Japanese capital ships come with that game, and are there any different merchants that are not in SH2? I would like to know if there are other new warships from other countries too, but I know that most people here probably don't have the time to list them all.

No Fuso or Ise class BBs?

What about carriers and merchants?

Fuso and Nagato use the same model, NBBNagato.JRF. I'm looking for models for BBs like Ise. Horsa's WWI and WWII SeaLords mods have lots of units but they use existing models, that's why figuring out how to "repaint" ships is on my To Do list, so they don't all look alike.

Some of my merchants are from sites with mods - go look at

I didn't see any merchants on those sites. I saw a new tugboat and fishing boat somewhere though, and new warships. I am going to guess that the stock DC doesn't include any merchants that are not already in SH2.

What about Japanese and British carriers?

Yes, that's right there are no new models in SeaLords WW1 and WW2 ... they relied on modified UDF files to simulate the different warships . They were both created long before any new models were made for DC and also before Covet created the tools to extract the textures for repainting.
I had (later) started using repaints to further differentiate the ships but never completed or released because I got involved with team projects such as Pacific Aces and later another project which is still ongoing. The arrival of SH3 more or less killed of any interest in DC so the project was shelved indefinately.

Now that the froth has settled over SH3 and also the realisation has dawned that a DC2 is at best a distant prospect, there is a slow but noticeable renewed interest in DC .... it offers a highly moddable framework and is the best there is available for surface action.

.... hence the reason I'm creating a DC/SH2 "resource centre" on a web site

I have these .... all for the upcoming website

BTW Most of the navies have only some of the big ships represented in DC. The skills and knowledge exist to pretty much complete all of the ships either by new models or hex editing .... the problem has always been the manpower to do it ... SH3 has ( understandibly )sucked away much of the talent.

Help, I'm getting confused....

I've also recently picked up a copy of DC. If I have the subsim verison of Pacific Aces is there any need to use the ship models from DC? There's no additional ship models in DC that are not included with the subsim verison of PA, right?

Thanks!

I bet the guys who would be making DC2 will listen to you, so let me urge you to pass on my opinion that those of us who are hammering away at DC would become fanatical missionaries for DC2 if it actually got made. We'd pester everyone we know to get it.

Fait bien! But I want you to drop everything else and get that NSSI400 done! I want a huge Japanese submarine aircraft carrier! With it I could... dare I say it?... Rule the World! Mwahahahahahaha!

Just a little crazed tonight...
