The really funny part of all that is..... When JJ wrote episode 7, The defecting stormtrooper (I forget his name) is asked what his job was, he replies "Sanitation". That is a direct reference by JJ to that scene in Kevin Smith's movie, and has said so. So maybe there weren't contractors after all!

You wonder how they could see to do any plumbing with those dopey helmets on! Also, where would they get their plumbing supplies from? I doubt whether Home Depot would deliver...
