Yes this is indeed welcome news. I am so pleased that soon I will have a copy of this glorious piece of wondrous work in my hot and sweaty little hands. Or, in the vernacular of my youth: FAR OUT, MAN!

Now I just have to figure out some way to play it...

That is kinda what going Gold means. The devs. don't just sit looking at the code and admiring their handywork.

Software Release Cycle on Wikipedia. Should answer the "gold question".

I preordered from Electronics Boutique in the local mall here in Groton CT and they said they have a shipping date of feb 13 and expect me to pick up my game evening of feb 14. Can't wait...already told my wife to expect me to go underway that evening.

I was worried we would have to go through the usual UBI hemming and hawing and have the game delayed. I'm absolutely ecstatic I was wrong, Wrong, WRONG!

This is super news!

Don't be too sure. If the game is released bugged and with promised features missing, it should have been delayed.

Gamers today want their games yesterday and unfinished instead of the day after tomorrow and finished.

Excellent news!!

This has caused Captain America to surface from a long rest on the bottom.

Looking forward to returning to my SH1 roots and some future modding. If you think SH3 had many mods wait until SH4.

All ahead full.
