Default Little confused....

Okay, so I installed a fresh version of SH5, went through tutorial, got the green tick & saved. I then downloaded most of the mods on sober's list & enabled them through JSGME in the exact order as specified. Even though I did not use all of them, I didn't add anything not on the list. Since then, I can't play anything without CTD. I ran the JSGME validator & I have a LOT of conflicts. I know this is probably a dumb question, but is it normal to have conflicts between the mods on the list. I have OHII, & I've skipped the tutorial on a new career, made sure I could see the upgrades list, & got the loading screen from the bunker to my U-boat. But, a few seconds later, CTD. Is there some way to show you guys the validator file I saved that shows the list of conflicts? All mods appear to be installed correctly, I'm not sure how else to fix it. I hope this reply is not in the wrong thread, if it is, my appologies. I'm new to this stuff. Thanks in advance, & thanks sober for an awesome list of mods, I hope to get up & running soon.

Most of the conflicts are probably the documents folders . I am playing the game now . Most of the files are not good enough . You have to auto load the mods with the MEP file . Delete the documents folders from the mods before enabling . I just started another career and left kiel with no ctds .

With the documents folders taken out of the mods before enabling you should have 21 conflicting mods (greyed out) im the mod enabler .

Snapshot and snapshot compare tool found in mod enabler\Tasks
All documents folders removed from mods before enabling .
Files compared between vanilla and sobers mod list .
Same 25529 , Different 1782 , new 4359 , Removed 27

A better way to do it for all mods, change the readme.txt of their mod to modname_readme.txt. That way you still have the documentation for reference if needed.

Did you ensure your game is updated to v1.2 (top right corner, main menu).
If not - CTD will happen

Remove all mods - update to v1.2 - install sober's mod list - play game - no ctds

Yes sir. I updated with the UBISOFT patcher to 1.2 & used TDW's Generic patcher as well. I have a DL version of the game from UBI. It seems that the conflicts in the validator are with the mod files themselves. I wish there was some way to show you guys the readout from the validator. Also, it says the generic patcher doen't exist, but it's in the MODS folder and showing in JSGME. I think I might have to uninstall everything, game, mods, the whole thing and start all over.

Hi Sober! Small question re. your mods 'green spinning thing' and 'green crew training': i'm using only the last one, but nevertheless have green thing...which SPINS So may be 'green crew training' already includes 'green spinning thing' ? That is just for info in order to avoid unnessecary owerwriting

Default Modlist some are grey some black written.

Hi Sober,

I downloaded all of your mods and installed them with the modenabler.

After that some of the mods in the right side (activated mods) are grey
and others are black.

What does it mean; are the grey ones inactive and the black ones active?

Sometimes i think it's "Hard Coded" One installed you will not get rid of
