Yep. I just got that, just after the launcher told me it could not retrieve any game saves.

Same problem for me.

I wasn't sure if I was using the correct password, so I tried the "forgott password" link. But it got me to some kind of error page.
So tried to get my password from the ubi.com site.
Entered my email and clicked ok. But I just got the message "page not found"!
Seems like it's not a problem with my password.

I just wanted to try the new atlantic waves mod!

I somehow feel ripped off!

getting the same thing from time to time. So for sh*ts and giggles I click on the forgot password link. Here's what happened:

Server Error in '/login' Application.

Runtime Error

Description: An application error occurred on the server. The current custom error settings for this application prevent the details of the application error from being viewed remotely (for security reasons). It could, however, be viewed by browsers running on the local server machine.

Details: To enable the details of this specific error message to be viewable on remote machines, please create a <customErrors> tag within a "web.config" configuration file located in the root directory of the current web application. This <customErrors> tag should then have its "mode" attribute set to "Off".

<!-- Web.Config Configuration File --><configuration> <system.web> <customErrors mode="Off"/> </system.web></configuration>
Notes: The current error page you are seeing can be replaced by a custom error page by modifying the "defaultRedirect" attribute of the application's <customErrors> configuration tag to point to a custom error page URL.

<!-- Web.Config Configuration File --><configuration> <system.web> <customErrors mode="RemoteOnly" defaultRedirect="mycustompage.htm"/> </system.web></configuration>

Ubisoft servers are under constant hacker attack, in protest of their new online DRM.

Although I hate not being able to play now, I had a free hour finally today, it proves the point online DRM is vulnerable.

As a game developer myself I suffer from piracy, but we decided to give up we use a simple serial number and online registration, no DRM in our software.

Cheers,

Tim aka LZ

As of right now, the same is happening here.

I can only hope my login data is still secure and not going into the shopping bin of a hacker.

This went from initial scepticism but open mindness, to anoyannce, took a detour over really bothersome to finally arrive at outright game killing now.

Same here: an endless 'wrong username or password' loop. Unbelievable.

So let's summarize.

Hackers try to hack the software so that people can steal it.

Ubisoft tries to come up with a system that prevents this (and are partially successful).

Hackers don't like this so they run a DOS attack on Ubisofts servers.

This prevents everyone from playing the game.

And now it's Ubisofts fault because they came up with a DRM that the hackers can't fully defeat so they resort to DOS attacks to prevent you from enjoying the game you paid money for.

And everyone is mad at Ubisoft?

Got it.

Well, I gave 50 Euros to Ubisoft.

Thats a lot of money for me! I dont care whose fault this is, I'm not into politics!
But there seem to be other publishers who are able to provide their paying custumers with a product that actually works.

30 mins ago I was able to log in. I was happy, played 20mins and the decided to test another mod. BAD MISTAKE!!!

I was ofcourse not able to log in again. Nice...
