Default Problem with SH2

I have P4 3.06Ghz, 512 RAM, WinXP service pack 1, NVIdia drivers for Geforce 5200FX.

I realized that SH2 didn´t work with newest drivers, so I played with the original drivers that come with the video card. During some sessions everything was OK.

In my last session I experienced a horrible slowdown and then a reboot.
I just wonder if there is any advise you could give me. I love SH2.

BTW, I wanted to say hi to all of you.
I just came here referred by the people at the Orbiter forums.

I learned patience you need to play SH2 by playing Orbiter, which is a realistic spaceflight sim. There are tons of historical addons.

You may download Orbiter from
http://orbit.medphys.ucl.ac.uk/orbit.html
and you may like it to have sound, so you better download Orbiter sound. But you also may want to download Delta Glider III addons.
http://orbiter.dansteph.com/
I made a music theme for Orbiter, because the one with Orbiter sound is a bit annoying after a while, which is located at
http://www.orbithangar.com/advsearch...xt=music+theme

Also if you could point me to any mods for SH2, it would be nice.
However I need to solve the bug problem first.
I do have SH2 english version and patch 1.1

If it did work right for a while then most probably it's not the drivers what fails. Have you restarted the game and seen if it works OK? Also, do all other games and applications on your PC still work OK?

I couldn´t make it work on XP.
I used the Win98 install I have in my computer and it worked fine.
It seems that the advise should be don´t run on XP...

I run on Xp all the time, no real problems. Sometimes it would shut down if I went to certain screen, just did another clean install and everything good to go.

It should work in XP with the SH2 official 1.1 patch...that's strange Anyway you can try to set all exes in the game to "Compatibility with Win 98SE". To do this look for "Sim" "SH2" and "Shell" exe files (All of them have also the SH2 icon so they are easy to see) right-click on them and go to "compatibility" label, then choose as indicated.
