At the moment, I will be waiting for the reviews, See what Neal Has to say about it, and if anyone is having issues with the DRM.

Gonna be the first SH that I will miss on day one.

Sad times.

Will I buy, well to be honest if the reviews are good, and I can find a way to get around my bad internet then, well Maybe

I've bought every (diesel) subsim released to date and would of course have bought this SH V too - looks very exciting!

- but I am not able to play it with this "always-online" requirement

If UbiSoft removes that DRM-thing, I'll buy three copies just for the support - there's always a contest somewhere for them

Default not buying as long as online requirement sticks

.. though technically not a problem for me, I shall not buy the game. I do not want to support such a behaviour from a publisher.

Depends.

I still know remarkably little about it, other than there are no fleet boats in it, which seems a step back after SH4. I'd have thought by now they'd be trying to release a definitive version of Silent Hunter, building on what's available in the others combined.

Expansion in the future?

The DRM is a big negative for me, and could well mean I stick to 4 and let this one pass on by.

If I'm honest, I'm undecided still.

They are. That's why it's got no fleet boats.

Less inclined to buy atm..

I just purchased the Gold Version of SH4 from Amazon for under a £10.00 as I want to try the U-boat addon.

I bought SH4 collectors edition on release, but won't be touching SH5 probably until the Gold Edition is available and the DRM is removed.

Cheers

Waiting for the OSP tether to be removed and patches have been released to make sure it works.

Same, not buying any ubisoft game with OSP unless they offer an offline option.

Still buying as planned,
Will live with / work around the DRM, hopfully it will be lifted eventually.
It sounds like the game may not be finnished, but it also looks like it has great potential. Looks like they did a good job with the NPC Units.

It wont be perfect, but it looks good enough for the money.
