*edit* whoops! Just saw your message about the CTD with the hatch mod. I'll retest when you have that fix up.
*2nd edit* I've been unable to recreate the CTD with patch 5A. Looks like it was the same issue. Thanks!

Lurker,
I'm getting a consistent repeatable CTD with patch 5. I've tested various combinations of OM patches 1 and 2 and OMEGU patches 4 and 5 to narrow it down.

My mod list is:
OM_V705
OMv705_to_V720
OMv720_Patch2
OMEGU_v300
OMEGU_v300_Patch5

I'm running a fresh install with a new campaign - 7th flotilla, starting Jan 1940 with a VIIb. I plot a course west to a point about 200 Km east of Kingston Upon Hull and head north along the coast. At some point along that line, I'll CTD. Running with patch 4, it doesn't crash. I suspect it may have something to do with aircraft since, using patch 4, I generally sight a/c in that area. With patch 5, I never get an aircraft sighting message before it crashes in the same general area.

Anyone have an idea whether or not it's safe to apply this patch during a patrol? If not, I'll just assume I shouldn't.

From the first page readme:

Quote:
OMEGU and accompanying mods should "ONLY" be installed on a “stock” SH4 v1.5 after OM v720 or RSRDC v550
In following that procedure JSGME warns that OMEGU will overwrite a large amount of OM files (The OMEGU readme does not mention this warning, nor does indicate to ignore it and go on with the install). Since both mods are theoretically just complementary and affect different aspect of the game is it correct to overwrite? Is this all as designed? Just checking in case I'm doing something wrong

Thanks! I just wanted to be sure as it was a patch and some patches have been said to be okay to apply during a patrol.

I'm a SH3 player (went on a brake for about 2 years, after getting a new widescreen wich made SH3 almost unplayable), and haven't platyed stock SH4 at all. Been playing either OM or TMO.
I've got a question on tranfers... How do I earn a transferin OM? and can I change ship type?

P.s. this is the worng thread I'm sorry it should be in the main OM thread.

Hi, I would like to install the OMEGU_v300 Mod but am at a bit of a loss at the install order and/or components necessary?

OMEGU_v300
OM_Harder_Escort_L1
AOBF 16-9 Res
OMEGU_v300_Patch5
KiUB_English
OMEGU_English

If I installed the Mods in this order, is that correct? Thanks in advance!

So I just need to leave the Mods inside the OMEGU_v300 Patch package? When do you select them when playing?

From the readme in the first post of this thread that "nobody reads" and the install instructions that "nobody follows"

Quote:
Special note: "ALL" patches are rollups and you only need the latest versions to get all previous changes

Install institutions:

  • Uncompress OMEGU v300 Patch x pkg
  • You will find the following mods: OMEGU_v300_Patchx, OM_SH3_Command_Keys, KiUB_English, and OMEGU_English
  • Moves these mods into the MODS directory for install with JSGME

Thanks for responding however you ignored my initial question and quoted a response to another poster. My question was I want to install these Mods but am unsure of the order because they overwrite each other. So...

OMEGU_v300
OM_Harder_Escort_L1
OMEGU_v300_Patch5
KiUB_English
OMEGU_English

installed in that order is the correct way? Thanks.
