Default [REL] OM Plot v415 pkg

OM Plot V415 Readme

OM v415 is basically OMEGU with out all the EyeCandy. It is designed for users who just want the new plotting options, keyboard commands and Karamazovnew KiUB mod

============================

Credits:

Karamazovnew – KiUB

Munchausen Nicolas and Ottos – TGT Dials to PK Fix

Jiim - Nav Map tools v1.3

New / Modified Command Keys

Starting with v400 there will be three different keyboard setups.

Stock + added commands
Stock + added commands + Multi-Key commands
SH3 stock mod to support SH4 + added commands

The Stock plus added commands is the default command keys when loading v300 and the other two are added on mods: OM_MultiCmd_Keys (Stock + added commands + Multi-Key commands) and OM_SH3_Command_Keys (SH3 stock + added commands). The following are the added commands to default key commands.

The “Enter” key no longer fire the torpedoes, you must now use the “fire button” on the periscope or on the attack map.

The “Enter” key now sets “time” to “normal (i.e. 1X)” if TC is being used

“Shift X” – toggles the snorkel

“Shift R” – Current Weather

“R” – depth under the keel

“;” (Semi-colon) – return to Navigators plotted course

CTRL F3 - Go to Attack 2D Map

CTRL B - Toggle Battle Stations

CTRL R - Maximum range at current speed

“Shift I” – Identify Target

-----------------------------------------

Stock + added commands + Multi-Key commands are the same as default v300 but with the following additions:

“Crash Dive” – set speed to flank, dive to assign crash depth, lower all periscopes, and lower snorkel.

“Periscope Depth” – dive to assign periscope depth, and set speed to “ahead standard”

“Surface” – return to surface, set speed to “ahead standard”, lower all periscopes, and lower snorkel.

“;” (Semi-colon) – return to Navigators plotted course and set speed to “ahead standard”

-----------------------------------------

SH3 stock mod to support SH4 + added commands

The command key set is the original from SH3with the following changes:

The “Enter” key now sets “time” to “normal (i.e. 1X)” if TC is being used

“Shift X” – toggles the snorkel

“Shift R” – Current Weather

“R” – depth under the keel

“;” (Semi-colon) – return to Navigators plotted course

CTRL B - Toggle Battle Stations

CTRL R - Maximum range at current speed

“Shift I” – Identify Target

A copy of the SH3 Keyboard layout (SH3_QRC_PG1.jpg /SH3_QRC_PG2.jpg) can be found in the under the main directory of SH4

========================================

New Command Icons

Control Room: Rise/Lower Snorkel/Radar

Nav Map: Search Pattern 1 / 2 / 3 and Max Range at current speed

Periscope: ID Target, Rise/Lower Snorkel/Radar

Bridge: Current Weather, ID Target , Report Nearest Visual Target

Deckgun: Target Nearest Warship, Target Nearest Merchant

Nav/Attack Maps

Smaller Stop Watch and Nav Tools

In this version the “speed” tails are gone, “ALL” the ships / aircraft are now color coded “gray/light black”, all ships (warships and merchants) & aircraft have a “square” ship. The user will now have to VID (Visual ID) “all” tracks before they can engage them. Of note the .dds line used for the hydrophone bearing line is also use for the torpedo track “Attack_2D_map”, in my version there is still enough of the line left to tell were the torpedo is still going. Last, I have included “metric” and “imperial” nomograph that can be used to generate a “speed” solution for the ship you’re tracking.

Addition changes include the removal of the “Ship Type” and “Speed information” from the contact display on the Nav/Attack Maps. Further more “Course information” is now a “numerical” value vice an N/S/E/W value.

These values are: N 000, 025, 045, 075, E 090, 120, 135, 160, S 180, 210, 225, 250, W270, 295, 315, 340

estimated speed reports from sensor operators are now a “numerical” value vice “Slow/ Medium/Fast”. These values are

DIW
Moving at 1 to 5 Kts
Moving at 5 to 10 Kts
Moving at 10 to 15 kts
moving at 15 kts plus

Contact ranges are now set to:

Short =3000 meters
Medium = 10000 meters
Long = 20000 meters

Contact sizes are now set to:

Single Contact Min Size=1
Small Contact Min Size=3
Medium Contact Min Size=7
Large Contact Min Size=13

Attack Periscope.

Uboat

Have added Karamazovnew KiUB mod, and it is “STRONGLY” recommended that you read the “KiUB Users Guide” which can be found in Support\OM_Readme_files\ directory before operation the Attack periscope.

Any questions about the KiUB mod, contact Karamazovnew via this thread

http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/showthread.php?t=152590

========

Fleet Boat

Have added the “TGT Dials to PK Fix” that allows you to make manual enters into the TDC. For details on how this mod works go to Support\OM_Readme_files\ directory and review the “TGT DIALS TO PK FIX Readme and the “TGT Dials to PK Fix how to guide”

========

OM Harder Escorts

OM_Harder_Escort_L1
OM_Harder_Escort_L2

OM_Harder_Escort is a mod to change the AI behavior of Convoy Escorts in OMv720. There are two versions, L1 and L2, with the only difference between the two is at L2 has modified escort hydrophones/sonar and L1 doesn’t. In both cases the escorts have become more “aggressive” and with each passing year of the war get harder and it should also be noted that L2 can be “very” difficult.

So should I use v300 or v401? ontop of monsoon?

Currently I got these:
OpsMonsun_V705
OMv705_to_V720
OMEGU_v210
OMEGU_v210_Hotfix3
Silhouette and RecManual Mod v1.1
Spaxs SH4 Uboat SPEECH FIX_V8

should I put in V300 & V300+patch
or Should I use v400?

If your going to use OMEGU you don't need this mod. It is only for people who do not wish to use OMEGU.

Something I've been wondering about: How do OM and RSRDC interconnect? I'm using two separate installs, one with RFB and RSRDC, the other with OM and OMEGU. For my U-boat campaign, does RSRDC have any real bearing on it at all? Am I missing something by not using it, or do I not really need it?

There is no interconnect between the two "yet"

just throwing this out there:

is it at all possible to have a plotting system sort of like OLC's stuff for SH3?

I mean contact reports coming in and showing up, and aircraft being displayed at all times, and visual sightings coming up around you to maintain some sort of situational awareness...

but no dots on the map at closer zoom levels, so you can't get accurate data to fire your torpedoes. maybe disable map contact updates on the zoom levels where squares turn into dots and your sub turns into a bearing wheel...

the reason is that I feel way too blind with contact turned completely off, but of course with them turned on it's just too tempting to get perfect solutions by following the big black dots at full zoom

is it possible? (and if it's in fact easy: how can I do it?)

It is possible, but a lot of changes would be required

Has it downoaded properly? or when in periscope view do i need to press a key to activate it?

Om 705 to 720
Om 720-patch 4
Omegu v300

See post #4.

The KiUB TDC appears on the tracking plot, as well as the side panels in the scope view. If those panels are 'hidden' click next to the left or right screen edge to 'unhide' them.
