30 ish km is rendering range. :hmm:

There is something scripted into your installation that is causing a conflict.

Try a new/fresh career.

I have exactly the same problem, except mine occurs at Dunkirk during the evacuation (May 28-29 or so). Even with Lite Harbor traffic on, if I get too close (50 Km or so) the game slows, locks up, and the CTD! It's the only time the game will CTD on me, and is repeatable from one career to another (new all the way).

Interesting, but probably unsolveable.

WinXP SP3.

I'm homebound on my second Feindfahrt and got a radio message about a convoy heading for Gibraltar and I turn to give chase. Say, 20-30-ish km away from convoy the game CTD's and wonder what can be done to narrow down the problem.
The problem occur at the same time/place in the game and is 100% reproducable,
and I would *really* like to know what's going on.

As a small experiment, units worked when looked at in the Museum, and the game goes on if I reverse course.

Fette Beute,

Niels C.

I Have played Sh-3 since it first became available to buy, & i have played every version of GWX, as each was released ! The really most remarkable thing to me & I cannot say this of any other game i've owned, is that it still has the ability to change at varied times, places & dates & in unexpected ways! I ,simply put, never get tired of it ! To all concerned GWX DEVS as well as others, Gentlemen i thank you AGAIN

Default dumb question....

After I complete my initial primary objectives, how do I receive a new patrol assignment? I've radioed back to BdU and was told to continue my patrol, so does that mean I can patrol where I want??

Or does it take time to receive more orders??

I wouldn't worry, we took the renown out for completing objectives. You only receive renown now for destroying enemy units.

You could stay and patrol in your vicinity or look farther afield if things are quiet in your area.

Hey folks. Getting back into SHIII after three years. Just wondering, I've installed GWX 2.0 and then 2.1 after a fresh install. But i just read the above and got me wondering: did i have to install the armed trawler ctd fix inbetween 2.0 and 2.1? Or was it included in 2.1? I didnt do it now because i assumed it would be included in 2.1, thats why i ask

Yes. GWX 2.1 does indeed include the Armed Trawler Fix.

(Infact GWX 2.1 includes an improved version of the Armed Trawler Fix. You should not apply the old fix over GWX 2.1.)
