Thank you so much, mate!
Nice to see, after all those years, there's someone still interested in SH3's development!

I think this simulator can do again a lot of this, so i'll continue to mod it...

Best regards,
Vd

@VonDos, Ha Ha, I didn't think you would remember me, I left SH a while ago and went Flight Simming but not long ago I decided to install my old disks, now I'm on a learning curve again, but loving it more than before.

For everyone interested, i've permission from GWX team to mod\rework their nice Deutschland class "pocket battleships" (Graf Spee, Admiral Scheer, "early" Deutschland, late "Lutzow". Note: Lutzow was renamed and refitted Deutschland).

Graf Spee and Admiral Scheer were similar and, as you can see, models are ready. Major differences were in bridge\command deck, funnel and bow shape. Guns also have been implemented.
Deutschland\Lutzowhad had a really different superstructure configuration (in GWX Deutschland was a Graf Spee's clone, while Lutzow had correct late configuration) , so they will require more time.

Best regards,
Vd

You make a good point Anvar, I too wouldn't know even though VD will do a great job on them.

I personally would like to see more ships being made or if someone could make VD's ships human playable, that's just me being selfish as I like playing as a ship lol.

I can reply just for myself:
because is funny for me to do.
Literally, for me this is the essence of my modding.
The "motivation", the reason if you prefere.

I know, this could be seen as a "mediocre" reply.
But one day a lot of years ago, i was looking for specific mod, and no one appeared to be interested in this mod.
One guy said me "if you want it, why don't you do it by yourself?".
At first impression, this could appear as a sign of arrogance. But, honestly, this guy and others were really avaiable with me. They told me a lot of things about modding. They dedicate me a huge amount of time, for a mod they could create in few minutes.
They also had their reasons, i guess and i'm gratefull enought.

And, after all, you can download the pack and delete 3 ship from roster and sea folder. You'll have a working single ship.
You can choose your favorite. Which one will you choose? Graf Spee, Lutzow, Deutschland or Admiral Scheer?

Best regards, Vd

@Col7777 if someone will be interested in try to make playable my AI ships, i'll give permission to use them, with pleasure

Thanks for your words, really.
I just a modder, there are a number of greater modder out here ^__^

If you want a test, in first page of this post you can find a pack with all Hipper class cruisers. They're modded with same idea of rebuild a previous unit (well, less attention to Blucher 3d model differences, but it operative life was really really short, after all), with same detail level, moving parts, trasparent windows ecc.

It's so glad to see you guys are still working on SH3 mod after so many years (I stopped working on SH3 mod for maybe 6 years already), so glad to see you are still making new ships.
Now I am back, ready to make new SH3 warship mods, and perhaps I will use some of your Italian warships to make player's controlable warships. Though I asked for your permission to use your ships in my mod maybe 10 years before, but I would like to ask you again: may I have your permission to use your ships in my mod ?
