I've always wondered about the first Frenchman who looked at a snail and thought "Hey, I think I should eat that..."...

You know the cliche used when tasting something not usually eaten and saying, "Hmm, tastes like chicken..."...?...

What if you lived some place where they had never seen a chicken? If they tried chicken, would they say something like, "Hmm, tastes like snail..."...?...
