Those are great news, I volunteer.
So I could start in the next few days with the work on my "realism" module for FORTS ...

I'm curious, among other things also on the sound adjustments of propbeanie.

So far all we have installed in the core mod is his creaks fix. I'd like to pop the anti-cheering fix in there too when it's ready.

A little remark...
The following sounds are to be revised already in the basic version:
Submarine waves lap
Submarine waves lap2
Submarine waves lap3
Submarine_diesel_exterior
Submarine_diesel_exterior4
Submarine_diesel_exterior5
Submarine_diesel_underwater
Submarine_surfacing
Submarine_surfacing2
Submarine_surfacing3
periscope_UpDown (CapnScurvy - Version)

Matching examples above sounds I had put in my Sound Pack.

I'm not really looking for ideas for single missions at the moment, but I thought I'd open it up see if anyone has any single missions ideas they like to see created for FOTRS Ultimate. Please give me a few details on what you like to see in a mission and I'll see what I can do.

Quick question - not technically related to FOTRSU but to my reinstall
I have just purged my system of my old install and re-downloaded from STEAM

I have made a copy of my download into a pristine folder in case I have issues again

I haven't installed to Programfiles x86, I have my own steam games folder on the top level of my C drive (otherwise it causes issues I know)

However I have just noticed something

See my install folder is marked as Read Only?
Would I be right in thinking I should un-check this for JSGME to work properly?

EDIT - and this time I am going to do the JSGME Snapshot BEFORE I do anything else!
Thanks RR

Give it a try with the folder marked as "read only" and see if the JSGME works or not. If it doesn't work, go back and uncheck the box for "read only" and then it should work, correct.

Thanks cdrsubron7 - that is exactly what I did

After a complete reinstall, and running only the latest BETA, I started a test patrol out of Pearl

In the patrol I can confirm that the Weapons and Sensors tab worked just fine for me

Sorry CapnScurvy - looks like I was running 'Soup of the Day' there for a while

Lesson learned

Always use the JSGME Compare Snapshot feature after uninstalling something big, before installing another big thing

This way, there's no chance of JSGME "forgetting" something and it's A LOT more quick procedure than reinstalling the whole game. If you can spare 5 GB of disk space, I recommend it.
.
Just learnt this the hard way
I think I may use this procedure from now on instead of relying on JSGME to successfully uninstall such a big mod

Hi mate

I am reading Thunder Below at the moment, and it seems to me that Commander Eugene Fluckey's night surface attack on the anchorage at Namkwan Harbor in about 60 feet of water on 22–23 January 1945 could be exciting.
I would post specific details of the attack here, but that would give the game away
Suffice to say - getting in to make the attack was dicey, but getting away with it sounded positively terrifying

Hey
Are you running TMOKeys?

After my reinstall I loaded just the latest BETA, and the Weps and Sensors tab worked just fine
Once I put TMOKeys on top of it, the tab was unavailable

I am willing to bet money that this is what your problem is

If you are running it, try uninstalling it and checking the tab

I could be mistaken, but I believe that someone else has already made a single mission of the Barb's attack on Namkwan Harbor. I'll have to check the folder on my hard drive tonight and see if I have that particular one.

As a matter of fact I do have TMOKeys installed. I will try that and see. I've gotten very used to working with the TMO key configuration though, So I will probably keep it installed that way.

And as a last goodnight - here is what we have to look forward too

Spotted

Running decks awash

Waiting

Teeth out

Beautiful ships 1

Beautiful ships 2

Please note - neither of these skins have been done by me.
They are all the work of the original FOTRS team

nearly there

Three of my four shots hit

Sailing away from the madness

This is shaping up to be the most impressive SH4 mod ever made
Good luck everyone
