Freeware bulletin board

Heya,

I was considering setting up a basic bulletin board/forum, host it on a machine I have running at home.

Anyone have any suggestions on or experiences with any freeware solutions?

IIS or Apache?
Asp or PHP?

you know, if you want a challenge, you can make one yourself
the instructions are easily found online

Already familiar with IIS; think it would be easiest to get PHP on that. Though if there are benefits, I wouldn't mind using Apache, though I'd still prefer PHP then.

I guess what I'm asking for as well is a template. Some basic setup that gets it online. If I can tinker with it, I'll figure it out soon enough. Just need to get started with it.

Weezo's not bad but its not like hosting your own forum if thats only what you want. Though you can setup a forum. Its more an all in one file sharing which you use your pc as the host. I use to use weezo for locals to access. In fact I might set it up again now that I have a faster pc.

Can always throw up the FTP server here again for file-hosting. Bit antiquated, bot it gets the job done.

Probably raise a ton of questions along the way, but should be manageable.
