Default An application to track competitive tonnage

Hey all,

I'm a web developer for a job and was thinking of something that could be cool that is quite common in flight simulation.

Is there an app which lets users install a mod to which exports tonnage sunk / sub position etc to an external service or website? I was thinking, if this data is available via an API in the game, I could create a leader board / competitive website to let people compare tonnage rates (or cooperate in a macro style). If coordinates are available and accurate, peoples locations and routes could be tracked on a map showing who destroyed what, and where they did it.

Has anything like this been done before - any idea if the data can be extracted?

Thanks
