Oh good! Misery loves company!

At least we'll have something cool to watch while we eat our shoes.

Well, the 58% off was for the Blu-Ray set. I don't have Blu-Ray, and the regular set was "only" 52% off. Of course I couldn't pass up a deal like that, so I had to order it now.

WOOHOO!!

Of course now I'm worried that it might be a gimmick and next week it'll be even cheaper...

I frickin love The Pacific. Band of Brothers is extremely good too...but I think I like The Pacific more. It has a more "real" feel to me.

Plus, watching it with Turtle Beach headphones turned up all the way is the only way to watch the combat scenes IMHO.

Laughing at myself because for years people tried to explain it to me and I just couldn't get it right. I'm hoping I do a decent enough job for you

First, type " [ url = " (without the quotes or space)
Second, paste in the url.
Third, place the second bracket " ] "
Fourth, type in the title you want, in my case "Century Classics"
Last, type " [ / url ] "
So:
[ url = XXXX ] Century Classics [ / url ]

Remember, no gaps.

You can also practice with no url at all, just by typing what I did with no gaps. It will create a link that doesn't go anywhere, but it will look right:
Steve Is Cool

I feel silly for not getting it for so long, because it really is that simple.

Uh...

There's a button that'll do it all for you. And for the benefit of knowledge of all who read this thread...I added two more functions for those who don't know.

Red- URL Button. When you paste a URL, the highlighted text is what shows up. You can change that to whatever. Amazon

Yellow- Quote Button.

Makes everything look like a quote
Black- Image Button. Paste URL, picture shows up.

Don't mean to shoot you down Steve...but there exists an easier way.

One, you didn't shoot me down. Why do people always feel the need to apologize?

Two, those are pretty cool. I never knew about any of them.

But how do make the URL one work? I tried pasting into the slot provided and it showed up as a normal link.

Well...I kinda came in here and told you that the way you're doing things is wrong.

Okay.

When you click the Earth with the Hyperlink symbol a little box pops up.

1) Paste the link

2) It'll look something like this with no plus signs.

[U+RL="http://img43.imageshack.us/img43/5917/onh3.jpg"][ur+l]http://img43.imageshack.us/img43/5917/onh3.jpg[/ur+l][/UR+L]

3) The URL in the quotation marks is the actual URL. The words that show up are in the second URL with no quotation marks.

When you paste the link into the box and click OK, the second URL will be highlighted. (If not, at least you know which one you can change) And you can type whatever you want.

Nope. I get a box that lets me insert a link. It doesn't say "url" anywhere. When I tested it it posts a regular link.

A box similar to this should come up. It may look different. Mine is in Chrome.

Paste the URL into the dialog box.

Then you should have something like this:

You can change the highlighted part.

If not, you may have your setting different than mine. You can edit which buttons and functions show up in the settings

Where do I get the url from, if not the address box? When I paste it in it shows the address, but not the URL tags in brackets.

I bought Game of Thrones Season 2, the digital version, on Saturday* by clicking through from the link. I think that works.

Also just got this little gem from Amazon in my email:

Quote:
Our records indicate you have an active Charmin Ultra Strong Toilet Paper 6 Mega Rolls; Pack of 3; 18 Total Mega Rolls subscription.

This item is no longer available through the Subscribe & Save program. However, a replacement item -- Charmin Ultra Strong Toilet Paper (3 Packs Of 6 Mega Rolls) -- is available.
So... instead of sending me 3 packs of 6 Mega Rolls, they're sending me 3 packs of 6 Mega Rolls. I'm so glad they let me know, I would've been really confused when I got the shipment.

*Edit: might've been Friday. I kinda lost track of the days and night there for a while.

Address bar of your browser? Say I wanted to get the url of subsim. You can either copy and paste from the address bar or manually type it in just as you've been doing.

Can you post screenshots of what it's doing?

In case you didn't notice, I don't manually type in the address. I copy and paste it directly to the message box. All I manually type in are the brackets and the word "url".
