Not steam, but heads up for GOG.com! They have a New Years sale today, and one of the packs offered is Combat Sims - Apache Longbow, Hind, EEAH + EECH, B-17 II, Red Baron Pack, Strike Commander and IL-2 1946 all for $11.12 And if you own any of them on GOG already, it just offers you to get the ones you don't $1.14 per game. Which considering the quality of all those classics, is awesome!

Go get it! You have no excuse not to

That Orgin the name of EA's electronic download service was once a separate company which produced several popular games such as the original Wing Commander titles.Later Orgin partnered with EA eventually though EA took over Orgin completely and disbanded them.Orgin had a motto "We Create Worlds" EA also came up with a double secret probation motto which is "We absorb and then destroy other gaming companies" they have a new motto which is "3rd world labor rules underpaid and over worked employees also rule".

Funny thing is EA when it was formed back in 1982 the people that started EA actually wanted to be different than other gaming companies (who are much like how EA is today) of course over the years many of the original founders left EA or where eaten by newer more aggressive staffers.

Yes I knew all that. But history is littered with the carcasses of such game companies. I miss Origin and Microprose and others, or what Activision Blizzard and EA use to be once upon a time.

The indi game explosion has been interesting to watch, as a lot of pundits were predicting the death of pc gaming.

Yes true all a part of business things come and go and most of the original EA founders where already gone by the time they purchased and then got rid of Orgin.

I doubt that PC gaming will ever die it has been around since what the mid 70's in some form or another. It will have its spikes and falls of course.I fell that indie games are a factor yes but still many of the top selling PC titles are from main stream companies and there are plenty of pretty meh indie games out there.

I only like a game when it actually has something interesting to offer me.I notice that some folks think that every indie is gold just because it is an indie not a logical thought process if you ask me.

Indie games aren't really my thing. They usually aren't too complex or long in my experience.

Papers Please is unique and it's put together well. It's gameplay that you would never think to be fun, but it is.

Some indie games get really big....but it seems like most are just throwaway 5-15$ black holes.

Oh sure there is plenty of crap, that is usually the case with any kind of new area. Same thing happened with MMO's and you name it. But there are some real gems too, like minecraft, or Kerbal space program.

DL'd the KSP demo. I couldn't resist...but I also couldn't pay the full price. I had to try it out.

Like Public Enemy said "don't believe the hype" that applies to any PC game indie or no.

That's why I don't like Game Reviews...I'd rather ask somebody with similar interests on what they think of a game.
