Default Two films Directed by John Ford at Midway

^WEll! that was tough propaganda to keep up with! John Ford spent a few occasions at Midway I wonder who the focus puller was! U didn't screw up around Mr Ford! < directed an produced by John Ford. Even Mr Henry Fonda found out (Ford hit him once on the set of MR. Roberts) ... director Mervyn Leroy then took over the directing involving the most famous ship ever filmed at Midway: USS Hewell (AG-145/AKL-14) Camano class light cargo ship: aka "the Bucket" ...aka USS Reluctant. Henry Fonda, while actually too old for the role as the movie's LTJG Roberts, came by the his realistic portrayal honestly: having served in WWII for three years, initially as a quartermaster 3rd Class on the destroyer Uss Satterlee. He was later commissioned as a LTJG in Air Combat Intelligence in the Central Pacific and was awarded the Navy Presidential Unit Citation and the Bronze Star. Oregon Iron Works, a small specialist manufacturer has designed and produced a series of special forces infiltration boats
currently employed by Israeli special forces and USN SEALs.

These boats are similar in concept, and may have been inspired by, the North Korean SILC infiltration craft. Relative to known
SILC they are about twice as large, and much more stealthy. Unlike the later North Korean I-SILC they are not fully submersible.

Alligator Class
Displacement: 23.4 tons
Max Speed: 30kts (8 submerged)
Length: 19.81m, Width 3.96m
