Edit: Egan, was the dragon in question green, and named Blood Dragon? If so I found him near Shor's Stone(East of Iverstead) and was able to kill him without a problem.
Can't remember I'm afraid. It was using a frost attack iirc. If Shor's stone is the little ruined tower on the eastern shore of the lake then it is probably the same place.

Some of you guys seem to have put way more hours into it than I have and I've been playing a lot! You can't all be calling into work sick now, can you?

The one I fought was using frost breath. Shor's Stone is an actual village much like Iverstead Northwest of Riften.

Ok, I'm guessing it's not the same place. I think it was most likely a random that got borked somehow. Not going to worry about it. I'm in Fort Greymoor and just got one-shotted by some big dude with a axe. No idea why he's such a hardcase. Better reload and find out.

Expected to generate more than $450 million in global retail sales.

Quote:
November 16, 2011 (London, UK) –ZeniMax® Media Inc. today announced that Bethesda Softworks’®award-winning title, The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, has enjoyed an enthusiastic reception by gamers across the globe. After shipping seven million units of Skyrim for the Xbox 360®video game entertainment system from Microsoft, PlayStation®3 computer entertainment system, and PC, Skyrim’s launch units are expected to generate more than $450 million in global retail sales.

With tens of thousands of fans lining up at retail outlets at midnight on 11/11/11 to purchase the game, Skyrim continued to record strong sales following its release. More than 50% of launch units were sold in the first 48 hours and Bethesda Softworks has been receiving large reorders from major retailers in North America, and across Europe and Australia. Online activity has been notable, with Steam reporting that in the first 24 hours of its release, Skyrim set a record with over 280,000 concurrent players, far outdistancing all other titles.

“We are grateful for the fans’ response to Skyrim,” said Robert Altman, Chairman and CEO of ZeniMax Media. “Todd Howard and his team at Bethesda Game Studios have crafted a very special game. Anticipation for Skyrim has surpassed any game in our company’s history, and we are pleased that sales and reviews have reflected the quality and hours of amazing gameplay it provides.”

The eagerly-awaited title has garnered more than 50 perfect review scores, earning praise from some of the industry’s most influential and respected critics including: USA Today, G4TV, GameSpy, Wired, Eurogamer, Destructoid, GamePro, Official Xbox Magazine, Joystiq, The Guardian, and GamesRadar. G4TV describes Skyrim as “one of the greatest games ever made” and Eurogamer was one of many outlets to call it a “masterpiece.”

“Without a doubt, this has been our most ambitious project ever,” said Todd Howard, Game Director on Skyrim. “After over three years of development, we’re finally excited to get it into everyone’s hands.”

Developed by Bethesda Game Studios®, the makers of the 2006 Game of the Year, The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion®, and 2008 Game of the Year, Fallout® 3, Skyrim reimagines and revolutionizes the open-world fantasy epic, bringing to life a complete virtual world for you to explore any way you choose.

And so we see with absolute certainty that the Elder Scrolls and Fallout series will continue for years to come.

I hope so.

I started my "journey" with Morrowind, so I'm going to ask you who have played
the whole series: Which parts of Tamriel have already been covered in the games?

Arena had all of Tamriel, but I think a lot of it was randomized. Daggerfall had High Rock and Hammerfell, Morrowind had...err, yeah. Oblivion had Cyrodiil and Skyrim obviously has Skyrim.

Personally, I hope we'll see Summerset Isle at some point, especially now that the Altmer are a major faction.

Well officially in Arena you could go thru the ENTIRE world of Tamriel. So... yeah the whole world has been done.

But honestly we know the next Elder Scrolls isn't going to do that anytime soon, so I'd say were going to well any of the remaining races homes, minus dunmer, imperials, and nords.

Also I think it goes without saying I bet the Skyrim team atleast the vast majority of them, save the few that will remain and pump out some dlc will be moving onto the next Fallout title. Yes Skyrim made them millions, and will for awhile but its a business and its back to filling the pockets.

I think we'll see a bunch of dlc and at least one full scale expansion pack before they move on to something else. What that something else is I don't know but I agree with you it's likely to be Fallout 4, which is fine with me.

They've stated before they'd rather do expansions instead of DLC for Skyrim. In other words, more likely complete quest lines rather than more "bite-sized" adventures you go through in a few hours.

My first game of the elder scrolls was Morrowind, when I first saw Morrowind I didn't have a clue what the game was about apart from another rpg what made me buy it was I liked the cover. The cover was just a damn symbol with the word Morrowind nothing mind blowing but that cover did it for me. Loaded it up for the first time thought this looks quite interesting then going through the character creation whats my sign? Enter the game and the first thing that I liked was the music the music was brillant for the world they created, then the game play, once I started running round I realized how huge the game is and the hard work they put into it. An amazing world for a first timer to the elder scrolls, jawdropping for me & gawd I died a lot at the start. Cliff Racers!
