How deep is the ocean?

When in "map mode" is there any way to place the cursor over a spot and determining what the ocean depth is at that point? Many thanks

I dont think you can do that...

but basicly...

The dark blue areas are over 1000m usualy... the lighter the blue, the shallower it is... You can also get the debth under keel pressing the button. bottom menu, havent played SH4 in a while...

Well, I'm not sure that its modeled to this degree, but heres a way to find the ocean depth for any place in the, well, ocean.
