Default The best post-cold war sub novel?

Any opinions? I'm jonesen for a new sub novel to read.

I rate Patrick Robinson's stuff quite highly, it's best read in the right order though. Nimitz Class is good, but with less submarine content. Kilo Class and HMS Unseen are great, Seawolf and The Shark Mutiny weren't my favourites but they're still pretty good.

I have to try those books. Barnes was out of them so I settled on a couple by Joe Buff. They are more futuristic though.

The only Cold War submarine book I've read is Edward L. Beach's "Cold is the Sea".
It is the third book in kind of a trilogy-"Run Silent, Run Deep" and "Dust on the Sea" being the first 2.
The first 2 are in WWII but the third is set during the Cold War.

"Cold is the Sea" is actually the first book I read by Beach and refers to the previous 2 books in a couple of places but not so much where I was lost without having read the first 2 books.

I am now reading "Red Star Rogue", which is non fiction, but is well written accounts of the K-129. definitely Cold war stuff. Written by fromer bubblehead.
