Default Darn minefileds!

Coming out of Wilhemshaven and just east of Helgoland I ran into a mine that killed my entire bridge watch team, destroyed my diesels and otherwise made a complete mess of my U-boat. Is there a safe travel lane Im supposed to follow or was this a "British" mine?

If you go to your nav map one of the pull down charts shows where all the mine fields and nets are for each port. When I come out I usually go right down the middle and I haven't ran into no problems yet. Hell, I haven't even seen a mine or net yet lol

Stay well to the East of Helgoland, the Brits mined the area around it heavily with air dropped mines.

There are sneaky minefields NE and W of Helgoland. I blame the Russians...

Just draw a 50km circle centred on the island, plot your course outside of that zone and you can trundle back 'n' forth un-mined.

Good to see you back WS - how was the real navy?
