A real shame that, yet so it goes... and goes... and goes...

Open _SCR file with notepad
Edit, Replace "Name=HMS Hood" with "Name=V&W classes"
Edit, Replace "Class=BCHood" with "Class=DDV&W"

Bye bye Hood!

Wonderful idea, if only it could be automated... Seems a bit too much of a nuisance to do manually after every sinking. But thanks for the suggestion all the same.

Absolutely agree, but it would take a good programmer to set it up and I am definitely not one of those!

Also they try to sunk me with everything they got afterwards.
And the best, during the attack on me I raised from 150m deepth to periscope deepth got another Aal into the movingless Battleship.

This kind of action cost me my deck gun. but it was worth!

Lucky that my submarine XI was just "parked" in the front of those capital ships and I could avoid the aircrafts before I reached them.

Tomorrow I'll will post the screenshots from my logbook to prove it.

Go into the game installation file and scroll down to the ME..double click on it and the ME will opem...click on File and choose Open Scripted Layer....a box will open and you navigate to Ubisoft>SH3 or GWX>data>Campaigns>Campaign (double click on it) and here it will open to reveal the three types of campaigns LND, RND and SCR....click on SCR for example then the open tab and the SH3 world map will show everything that has been scripted.

You can zoom in and out but I'd suggest you look at the ME instructions in the documentation section of the game file first to get a better idea of how to work with the ME.

Yes I sank her by mistake. Of course I reloaded to prevent me getting hanged. I regret that now

How do you accomplish this in the campaign editor?

Instructions (PDF) with editor are sparse indeed!
