sorry for long wait in replying - internet was down
a bit more infor on the problem - i let the opening cutscene play through, found that it just ends - doesn't go to a main menu or anything - still no sound or anything
no mods are installed as of yet - i was going vanilla to start with then add mods as i go.
not sure about the integraty of the DL - i'm at work now (internets still off) so will keep you up dated

Uninstall and reinstall the UBI Game launcher. I had the same issue yesterday and this resolved it for me. With luck it'll resolve your issue as well!

Hi all, i am new here
I have one problem with SH5. I just finished all five objectives in mare nostrum chapter and got all stars but chapter just wont end. I fast forwarded time till January 1941 and it still did not finished I dont know if it is a glitch or I did something wrong but it is frustrating

ive tried uninstalling the game launcher and uplay - no joy. i've also verified the integraty of the download from steam all 100%, any other ideas lads? i'm really starting to get annoyed at this lmao

have you modded the game at all or are you playing stock? What version does yours show? Did it ever run?

nope, its stock - and its never run. i'm honestly thinking that i wasted my money now. just been in contact with ubisoft customer support - no help at all - bah, this is stupid

Not sure I can help much as I have no experience with the Steam version of the game. If I were in your position, I'd uninstall SH5 and the UBI launcher and do a complete reinstall. If it didn't work then, I think I'd be calling Steam Support and asking for a refund.

Sounds like UBI has decided to put you to a test mate.
OK, I'd do a complete reinstall and say a prayer it runs after that.
After you've uninstalled SH5 do a thorough scan of your register for leftovers, I recommend CCleaner

AND! Don't forget to delete the; C:\User\Documents\SH5 folder. That's where all your settings and saves are stored.
If you have any settings/saves you want to keep - make a copy and save it wherever you want.
This folder will be created again when you launch SH5 next time after the reinstall.
If you want your settings/saves back - just paste your copy into the same place and let overwrite

i've zapped everything related to ubisoft and SH5 from my computer and ran CCleaner like you said to - game is currently downloading again via steam - if i *ahem* acciured *ahem* a copy of the ISO but used my CD key from steam would that work, you think? cause i've had just about enough of this i swear

niether worked, i've sent a email off to Steam, gona get a refund, if it kills me.
was looking forward to playing this, f*cking ubisoft needs better quality control

I have it working now, apparently it wouldn't run because i had the advanced windows 7 themes on, not the basic ones, and that stopped it from working properly. cheers for the all the help guys, but unfortunately you'll have to put up with me for a bit longer
