Default Update Drivers

Hi Dust,
Downloaded from site you suggested but unable to run as can't find compatible hardware - I'm already using Nvidia drivers! I'll contact Nvidia and get back to you. Thanks for help.
Regards

I'm having some problems with GCB myself. I am getting the error message :Failed to find suitable 3D driver and once the game runs, everything is running MONSTER slow, even clicking through the menus is insanely laggy. I know my video drivers are up to date. I've checked the board here and nothing suggested works. My computer should more than be able to handle this program. It's 2 ghz, 1 gig ram, Windows XP fully updated, NVIDIA GForce 5200 128 meg video card. All drivers up to date (First thing I checked)

I've tried running the game in lower resolutions and still get the same results.

very strange!

i´m using here amdxp1700+ 512mb, geforce2mx 32mb, wixp sp2. so a pretty old system and it works at 1024*768/32bit colors.

try to switch off the small 3d view with f4. with f3 you get big 3d view. at the big 3d view i get below 10fps but it works.

Just mousing over the clickable items in the menus takes about 30 or 40 secconds before they light up. The mouse isn't lagging but the program is bigtime. I'm assuming that's because it can't find a suitable 3D driver for some reason.

Default Nvidia Drivers

I was looking over these posts and I realized that regardless of the model of the driver, all problems are emanating from Nividia drivers and all problems are similar or the same. I'm not computer literate in terms of mechanics but could it be that something specific to Nividea is stopping a proper download of the program?

It's not the downloading of the program. It's when I run it. It's claiming that it's not finding proper 3D drivers for it.

It's not just Nvidia also ATi which I use. I have latest drivers. I'll download the latest exe and try again. I'll put my desktop in 32 bit mode.

OK I downloaded and installed latest GCB switched to 32 bit for my display and it is as smooth as anything.

The thing doesn't like 16 bit.

Nope. Switching to 32 bit doesn't work for me. That lagged it more. It just can't seem to find proper 3D drivers. There's got to be some kind of incompattability with my NVidia drivers and the program.

I simply can't get the program to find a 3D driver. I may as well go back to Harpoon 3 Advanced Naval Warfare (Awesome game !).

Anyone else play this ? How does GCB compare to it ?

gcb maybe the future of harpoon. there are some talks about converting harpoon scenarios to gcb. dont know whats the last standing of the talks.

forum topic on harpoonhq about gcb
http://www.harpoonhq.com/phpBB2/viewforum.php?f=29

bugtracker of gcb at harpoonhq

so it has a direction, hope it comes true.

I've played H3 and GCB.

I'd have to say once GCB is finished and gets a lot of platforms in.. I'd be more than happy to switch to it.
