Default Is there a way to make the light at night redder?`

AT night I really want it to feel like night and have a night red hue on everything. Is there a file or parameter I can tweak somewhere to do that?

You would have to adjust the night colors in the environment ATL file. However, with each color u tweak, often it leads u to tweaking another. Not sure what you mean by more red, nights aren't redder, unless you're just trying to make it less black or blue, but still look natural. You change too much, then colors don't blend. If you look in the Env/Atl file you'll see 3 weather types, first is no clouds, 2nd is clouds, 3rd if overcast. The day progresses by angle of sun for each type. You can pretty much see how the day progresses into night because of the colors with the night are very dark and the last numbers in the weather type. Within each u can adjust numerous colors, clouds, water, horizon, reflections and so on. They're also several light values that add more light. During night, changing values can have much effect on sensors, so while u can change tones, be careful changing the depth of colors and light, lighter colors and more light, the better the enemy can see you, darker less. If you use a mod, simply copy the env file from the mod and open it with the s3deditor and have at it....good luck...

Anyways, the goal of any environment work is a natural blended look that connects to the overall goal of what sensors should be...

I believe he's referring to the inside of the boat, not the outside environment.

The entire bout would not use red out at night.

Only those compartments adjacent to or opened to the outside and there is a switch on the outer hatches to automatically go from white light to red. The control room wouldn't even use red light unless they were planing surface night maneuvers and needed waiting watch men or special ops eyes to adjust. Even then it would mostly be used in the conn of the sail and not in the control room inside.

Yes, the interior, sorry I wasn't more specific. My interior just looks a little darker. I want to really get that cinematic feel, even if it's not the most realistic.

I was looking at the \Data\Shaders\InteriorIllumination folder but it looks that that just controls brightness and not hues.

are u playing stock or any mods....mods themselves improve graphics considerably more.....and make the sub interiors much more detailed

Well, I'm reading the tute and scratching my head, can't find the datablocks shown in the pic. Then I opened Interior Root_DruckLM1 and there were the 1000 or so additional datablocks. Works good, except I still wish I could find out how to change the radar PPI scope from red to green.
