Default New Recruit

Hi Mates, glad to be aboard. I’m a retired US Navy civilian with 41 years’ service which includes four years active Air Force. I was an Electronic Warfare Project Manager under NAVSUP for US Naval Aviation most of the time. I used to play 688 back when it was a DOS program and multiplayer involved a direct connection to the other computer, no internet. I became a fan of FSX ever since it was released. My computer was destroyed in a fire and I had to set up a new one. I’m not a hardcore gamer and the only games I play are the sims. I decided to try another sub sim. I was watching YouTube videos and decided I wanted to try Silent Hunter v5. I was made aware of this SubSim site by reading the remarks of “Taff in Exile” and watching his videos. So here I am. I can’t wait to start installing the mods, starting with the flag correction to reality.
