No bin collection this week because of the inclement weather conditions so I guess I'll be sent to the local public refuse recycling depot tomorrow.

Around here all that means is they are running behind by a day or so. It always gets collected, granted a pain in the butt leaving out on the pavement until they turn up.

Nope, the councils website informs that there will be no 'catch up' and residents are advised to leave any excess in black refuse sacks placed alongside their bin in a fortnights time, so I delivered the rubbish myself.

Couldn't get through to the leader of the council direct (he is an ex colleague) but I did leave a message with one of his PA's asking if there was any chance of a fortnights refund of my council tax.

I await what will probably be a humorous text or phonecall reply.

Attempting to find info on this old piano and I don't know the first thing about pianos... neither does the internet it seems. At least nothing about this brand and I don't even know if it is the brand.... This will be a long search.

Sure enough, I received a text this morning and it basically stated "You've more chance of getting bit on the bum by a cabbage."
