Default Torpedo patch



comparison of the older type 89 torpedo's wake against the type 95's


damage comparison : left : type 95 mod 1 ; right : type 89


what I don't know :

how does the wake length affect the gameplay if at all : sighted more easily or not ?


the problem :

earlier versions used to ladder after 6000 yards and since it was hard coded I couldn't do anything about it...


what we did :

Elanaiba
removed all ladder type features from the torpedo types I modded which means now they actually run straight all the way ! Long range shots as in RL can now be achieved

I've had a weird torpedo effect today :

they seem to go waaaaaay toooo fast !

like the time acceleration was on when it wasn't...

will try again later but this is annoying..

end of seventh patrol with the C2, I sank 54000 t

then :



Yatta !!!! a new sub ! date is July 22, 1944.

I went from the Kaichu to the C2 to the Type AM class (I-14)

so the boat upgrade system works on our side too

torpedo speed problem seems to have vanished.. I thought maybe cause I save a lot during time compression.. had two busted saves lately probably because of that.. maybe the torp speed problem came from there too, saving while under time compression ?

1850 yards 46" 49 kts
2000 yards 1'07" 45 kts

seems ok

I was always unhappy with our twin 25 mm AA gun since I knew that the mount was that of the triple 25 mm gun and not a simple stand like the single.

So I decided to change the model etc.. of the IJN 25 mm Double gun.

gotta move our twin AA a bit to the front of the tub and change its base








Type AM double AA gun view


One can see the Type 95 dual 25 mm AA gun in the tub. I will now try and recreate that particular mount since it looks a bit different from the one I made ingame, we might need one type of gun for those subs like the Type AM and Sen Toku, which have a AA guns deck (not unlike a DD), and another for those which have an AA gun in the tub like the Jyunsen B and the C3 class (I-52) f.i.

Robin I am not part of the team on this wonderful project but I can answer one of your questions..it is part of resources planned for a Japanese Campaign yes. That project has been underway for some time and is very exciting.

no it uses the german stock campaign in the Indian Ocean

Is this mod compatible with TMO2+RSRDC?
