I personally think it would be cool to play a large U-boat simulator on a weekend with others doing operations working at our stations. Would be interesting to try.

Icon14 Had to come out of hibernation, this is awesome.

You Sir have created every subsimers dream gameplay immersion chamber.

I wish I had the room to build me one of these! I wonder if I could convince my wife to let me convert our master walk-in-closet into a subsimcave...

In a set-up like this (maybe a little larger) you could have 2-3 people controlling separate portions of the sim Artemis style (Spaceship bridge simulator for 5 people: http://artemis.eochu.com/)!

S!

Does he actually use morse code to communicate, or is it just for show?
Either way, spectacular!

Everything so far seems to be functional and used while on patrol. I'll bet he uses the Morse key.

At one time long ago I knew Morse code, now I need a computer to translate - it's one of those, 'if you don't use it you lose it' things. ha!

This project is amazing....

Hi All,

Thanks for the feedback and sorry for the delayed reply. My plan is to learn Morse code and send "simulated" operational messages and contact reports. Which would also require some research into sending secret coded messages.

Starting now with this 1944 US Navy training film "Morse Code Radio Operator Training"
