Default radio mods and their dates. How does this work?

Regarding the radio broadcasts, how exactly is the "events.ini" file interpreted? I see that there are dates, which I assume will play on the radio when that date is reached, but there must be some "hysteresis" built in because if I load a saved game in Jan 42 I will hear the same broadcast from Dec 41. (I'm ok with this, just wondering)
Is there some date where the file will no longer be played? Is there a "buffer" or "zone" where the file will be played if you are within xx days of the date?
The reason I ask is that I have a couple of the radio add-ons and I love them, but I just downloaded the Tokyo Rose add on and it never plays.

Also, is there a description somewhere about what all of these numbers mean?

Antenna=01.01.1941-01.01.1946:35.70,139.77:100000

This is my radio file. All work except the last one.

It's been a while, but I'll have a stab at it. Firstly, download the "Radio Stations Manager" by Digital Trucker. I think it may be in the D/L section. This utility allows you to set up new stations with ease, as well as prepares the game before you launch it, to prevent events broadcasts from replaying. Nothing worse than having to re listen to maybe five old events that already occurred

As for the series of numbers, the first are start and stop dates for the station. The remainder, if I recall are Lat/Lon's dealing with station range/ listening area If I'm wrong, hopefully someone will correct.

That's a bug in the game where saved games will replay any programs from the start date of your current patrol. As noted earlier Radio Station Manager will fix this.

As mentioned, it will start playing programs from the start date of your current patrol. If you leave the radio off or stay submerged for a long time, it will also play any programs you missed when you turn on the radio, or surface. This is either a feature, or an unrealistic bug, depending on your point of view.

Which station? In mine, there are no programs until 1944. There simply are none available before then. Also, did you put any music in it? It won't play anything in between programs if there's no music.

01.01.1941 = start day, month, and year of the station.

01.01.1946 = end day, month, and year of the station.

35.70 = latitude of the station. A - sign in front would mean south of the equator.

139.77 = longitude of the station. A - sign in front would mean west of the Prime Meridian (0 degrees longitude) but east of 180 degrees longitude.

100000 = the approximate range of the station in nautical miles. Because of a bug in the game, anything lower than this, and the station can't be heard beyond 180 longitude. Which side of 180 depends on the station's location.

Don't know why it isn't working. Your radio.ini is fine.

Wow thanks for the responses! That explains it all!
