Like many here, one of my favorite toys was Lego. My favorite cartoon was Voltron, but we were too poor for me to get the set of lions that joined together to form the "Defender of the Universe".

A week ago I had a birthday and my sister sent me this:

2,321 pieces and it stands almost 18 inches tall when assembled into Voltron. I was instantly a kid again!

PS
I wish I could post pictures of the one I have, but nothing I've tried works.

Default Battery-operated police car (maker unknown, probably Marx)

In the antique shop in Grantham recently, Moira found this remote-controlled police car from the 1960s, which I had as a kid for Christmas one year. I thought it was the most amazing thing (my brother got a London Cab). It was so lovely to see this favourite toy once again. What a piece of crap

So how much did you get for it on eBay?

Default Britains 'Swoppets'

The plastic 'Swoppet' knights were my favourite; the parts were all interchangeable... swords came out of scabbards, visors could be up or down. The one below is my own... I kept them all because they were prized possessions.

They were relatively expensive even when I was a kid, so I'd either get one knight on foot with my weekly 2/6d pocket money, or save it for 2 weeks and get a mounted one for 5/- (five shillings)

I also have the two siege machines shown in the catalogue page, but I bought these not long after I got married when I came across them at a toy-fair, because my own had disappeared somewhere over the years

Legos are wasted on children.

Basically all Star Wars toys from 1977-1983 and Lego and Playmobil.

Apart from that airfix and matchbox model kits.
