This definitely catches my eye.

Adding it to the list. It's still the offseason for F1...there's no racing to watch since they don't show WRC on tv here. When they do show it, it's rarely live.

I can watch Australia's Drift Championship, Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt series, or some sprint car stuff...but that gets old. I need some real racing action.

Has anybody seen the documentary Senna? I really really want to watch it.

Another very good and by far the best documentary about racing is The Speed Merchants. It follows the 1972 manufactures series and is narrated by Mario Andretti and Vic Elford. Its got every good race track you'd want to see the 24 hour @ Le Mans, Nurburgring, and Seabring to name a few.

You can find it on YouTube but you really should watch it in its full glory on a big screen with a good sound system turned up. Also the short film The Rendezvous which is a drive through Paris. Awesome opossum. I may even have already posted about both films in this very thread before no matter they are both outstanding.

A modern film about the 1976 Formula One racing season Rush is well worth checking out. Spoiler if you dont know the history watch the film before reading up on it.

Grand Prix! was the first time onboard cameras were used to film racing. It was shot during the 1966 F1 season. These days onboard minicams are commonplace, and computer games recreate that feeling easily. Then it was spectacular. Just make sure you see it in the full widescreen version, or else you'll miss a lot. After you've seen it there are a lot of details you'll want to know. After that you'll want to see it again.

Watched Gone Girl yesterday and was a bit disappointed at the ending.

That's what my wife calls Miss Marple. When she comes to town you better run for your life because people will soon be dropping like flies.

Rush is amazing! I thought I may have posted it in here. I probably watched it 12 times.

Noted. I'll have to watch it soon.

That movie was filmed half an hour away from where I live. The only reason I had been interested in it to begin with is the fact that it's filmed here.

It turned out to be a good movie IMHO.

Side Note: Holy Plot Twist, Batman!

"There will be blood, Young Man..."

PS/ The Jason Statham film "The Mechanic" was very good (he didn't adopt that cringeworthy mid-atlantic accent for one thing).

After this we put on "Doom", the movie of the video game. When I got a new and better PC I set about retrospectively collecting games, which included among them the "Doom" series; I'd no idea there was a film until I found a nice clean second-hand copy yesterday.

Unfortunately after two hamburgers, strawberry ice-cream with shortcake, crisps, a bar of milk chocolate and two glasses of Pinot Noir, I fell asleep and missed the end...

Similarly here with a tv series called Midsomer Murders...based in a tiny village where the murder rate has reached mega proportions

Tonight's movie: "Behind Enemy Lines: Colombia"

Watched it now: fairly OK, bit like a TV movie. Doesn't compare to the original BHL with Owen Wilson and Gene Hackman. I stayed awake for this one...

After months of waiting, I got to watch Better Call Saul.

If you're a fan of Breaking Bad, watch it. If not, watch it and then watch Breaking Bad.

BCS has a lot of potential, the first two episodes are great.

Set in a village called "Badgers Drift" as I recall: would you maybe like to see your wife go there for a short visit then, August?
