Default ATI HD 6770 & HD 6750 To launch in October!

Now this is going to be one MONSTER card!

Some features of the HD 6XXX line

Ok folks what is going on is AMD is trying to fill the market gap that the GTX 460 is occupying. The 6770 is likely going to beat it along with the 5850 and likely approach the 5870 for under 200 USD!

6870 > 6850 > 5870 > 6770 > 5850 > 5770 > 4770

I currently run a 4770 the 6770 is going to be a HUGE jump up for me!

Definitely very good performance, and for competition's sake,NVIDIA will be safe with a challenge, their 400 series is good

If those two come in at a decent price point they will be some cards, hell considering these are supposedly only the midrange ones the 68xx cards will be insane.

I am calling the 6870 "Godzilla" And I am guessing its die size will be what the 5890 could have been. Aka BIG. Tho remember with more efficient memory and stream processor groups.. That bigger die is going to pack a much bigger whallop than any 5890 could.

This is going to be the pinnacle of 40nm

Some are calling that image fake. I dont know. The focus seems to be on the 6770 at the moment.

The likelyhood of that being a fake is low, but I suppose it is possible, the person who posted it is a known tester for such products and has a good reputetion in the overclocking community.
