So this the Narwhal again, not the Argonaut? You had lowered the deck gun platform in a previous model for the Argonaut, now it is raised again for the Narwhal?
The thin part of the platform should be in line with the hull. It's only the wider part where the gun sit that protudes to the outside. The dotted lines in this picture show where you must drag the platform to: The platform looks also a bit too elevated for my taste. I would lower it a few inches, not very much, but lower it a bit, say a 20-25%. The edges of the platform that go down to the hull must also be vertical, as in the scheme I posted above. May be when you lower it you will see that it gets its natural appearance by itself, as the upper part is already vertical in your model (And the lower one which curves incorrectly to the inside will be hidden inside the hull) Note that my comments are just striving for perfection! The model is already very good and I like it P.D. One more thing, when you put render of the model in the game, could you please give it simply a flat dark grey texture? It will be easier to see the real shape of it than with the current provisional texture, whose parts do not match the ship and cause a weird effect. The grey in Fooboors Narwhal skin would be perfect for that purpose. edit2: Forget it, I have had a better idea to explain how to model the gun platform. I'll post a scheme when I come home at 14.00 CET, be patient.

In this last pictures the platform is still thinner than the deck, which it shouldn't. YOu must make it wider in the centre, in the conning tower area.
Here is what you can try as simple 3D figure to test out the platform with the shape I think it is most correct; simply build two cylinders and connect them with a rectangle that has the same width as the deck. Placing this at the deck level should give you a good Argonaut gun platform, and raising it a bit above, a good Narwhal.

thanks it's the same I had but at better resolution, I'll swap mine for this one ! @Hitman : ok for the lowering of the guns platform by 25%, but not ok to have round guns platforms : look at the blueprint here above : not round. I'll do that in the next day or so, RL is there too keltos |

Thanks AVGWarhawk !
but I need to rework it a bit : there are bits not in the right place on the UV map of the model and it show here near the stern it covers what should be plancking, but we're getting there ! your new blueprint will help, can you post it for me at max resolution on FF for instance ? keltos |

The blueprint you showed is the same I posted in the first page of this thread, AVG got it from the same place I think. EDIT: Don't forget the ladders to climb from teh deck to the gun platform! ;-)

See the red line? Keep that shape (upside down cone) going and you got the bulge that accommodates the gun platform! Looking really good!
Finish off the red line area like this shape...upside down cone:

What AVG said , but I think you already have that inverted cone shape (It should be a cylinder, with a vertical wall, and not a cone but OK). It's probably the hull wall what is not properly curving inwards, not the gun platform.
You also need to stretch the gun platform outwards so that it is as wide as the deck and gets in line with the hull, as I pointed out in earlier messages
