How to get started in this game
This forum is to host a large game of A World @ War.
The game covers both Pacific and Atlantic theatres in great detail. The official website is here: http://www.aworldatwar.com/ The rules of the game look very complicated but I believe in most cases it is easiest to learn by just jumping in at the deep end. Have no fear! Also bear in mind, this is a beginner game, don't worry too much about making mistakes, and try to have fun. To play you will need the rules. I recommend the internet explorer help-file rules package here: http://www.aworldatwar.com/Rules/index.htm once downloaded you need to right click on the file, select properties and the check the "unblock" box. You will also need Warplanner2. This is the software that enables the game to function. You can downlaod the software here: http://www.warplanner.com/ (you need to register first) Before we begin we need 5 players prepared to lead the main teams. European Axis, Japan, USSR, USA and Great Britain. Additional players will assist these teams by taking control of a theater or naval forces for example. The division of labour is up to the team to figure out. Please post your interest below! E.g. I'll take Germany! I'll take USSR! First come first served! joe
