SH3, 4 or 5. Please need Advice

Hello guys,
I am an old player of SH series, I started playing with it since his First up to the 3rd. Unfortunately my computer wasn't so "powerful" to let me play sh 4 and 5, and there comes my request of help.
I finally built my new computer but I don't have too much time to play so instead of wasting time installing, updating playing an uninstalling I would like to ask you which is the best to play with.
I have read a lot about them and I know that there are a lot of mods to upgrade them.
What I can tell you is that what I truly loved in SH3, other than the graphic and the game play, was the crew management. Basically I enjoyed the "attack organization" but what I liked most was the second part of the attack: hiding and escaping.
I have seen SH4 but I think it lacks in that, crew management looks really poor compared with the 3rd.
While the fifth looks really different in terms of Gameplay.

So, What do you suggest me? Playing the new ones (4th OR 5th) with some good mods, or keep the third and update it with some new mods?

WELCOME ABOARD!

You say you loved SH3's crew management. Did you love the part where you have to keep moving the crew around yourself? SH4 has the crew organized into watch shifts, and they move themselves. You can also call them to Battle Stations and they will all come on duty. I think it is far better.

SH5 solves the problem by having no crew at all except for key officers.

If you really like SH3's the best then I would ignore the graphics you don't like and stick with that one. It still has the most development and the best mods.

That's a good answer.
It means that for sure I will not install SH5.
I will post around seeing if SH3 or SH4 with mods is the best options.

There's only one answer to this question. Every subsimmer, deep down, knows that SH3+Grey Wolves Expansion(GWX)+SH3 Commander=the greatest submarine simulation on earth.
