No weapons?
Hi guys
I would like to know if it's possibile to set to an AI sub, with scripts or triggers, any weapons, like torpedo, CM, missile, etc etc. In other words, a sub without weapons... Is it possible? Thank you Djmitri |

Because i would like to do that an escorted boat is without weapons beacause it's moving from russia to China with others boats with weapons...
oh i don't know...can i do that that boat doesn't attack other boats? it's important that it's not fire because there are other sub and fregate that have weapons and attack the opposite side... |

The "transit" tactic may keep it from firing, I think this is superior to setting it to peacetime ROE because (I think) it won't fire even if it is fired upon. I'm not sure though.

to complete :
the best thing is to put you "unarmed" sub in a different side than his dudes. You set the ROE to the side of your "unarmed" to peacetime, and you make alliance beetween the unarmed and his friends. This way, you could have friends able to engage, when the unarmed will never engage, and they could communicate with link. Is it ok ? Am I clear enought ? |

That's good, very good!
Thank you Oko! Only one thing: Can i do the same thing doing a trigger and in the trigger doctrine write this: not ( attack sideX by "unarmed" ) then TRIGGER FIRED Is it possible and it'll works? I will do like Oko said, but i just want only to know if it's possible do it like that,i have thought that before. Thank you for answers. I'm sorry for my English Djmitri |

It won't work I'm afraid.
what do you want to do exactly ? checking, at the mission end, that the unarmed didn't engage any other boat ? |

Try "neutral" as side.

if you use neutral for "unarmed" ship, he won't have links with his friendly side
so, in case of they are engaged, the neutral won't react to torpedo launch if one of the friendly side detcte it So it's better to use another side, allied, but not neutral. Djmitri, I can't see how your proposition could work, sorry ... |

In cases like this, I use TRANSIT (Not TRANSIT SEARCH) tactic. It doesn't hurt to also make the unit a Neutral or another side set to PEACETIME.
