Do you have a modded game?
If yes, please post your mod list.

I have no mods as yet it's stock sh5 gold from steam v 1.2. So far is the same officer

maybe I think I'll play a bit more and get back to you when I have some definite answers for ya , I give it a go this evening

Hi!

I reinstalled the game and mod TWoS 5 times already...
I have all admin rights and etc
Game version is 1.2

Every time I have this pop-up windows in menu and harbour...

What am I doing wrong?

Mostly likely a game installation corruption.
Uninstall SH5 from the Control Panels Program and Features including the saved game folder

Use a registry cleaner before re-installing your game.
How To Use The Free Registry Cleaner 'Ccleaner' > Pictorial > Includes Download Link
Do not install your game in the Program Files (x86) restricted directory.
Ideally install in C:\Ubisoft\Silent Hunter 5

Thanks for answering Peter.
But my game without TWoS went well...

This window glitch only with ToWS.
I’ll try to do reinstall again and clear register.
But think it will not help

This is a peculiar phenomena which I also had recently.
Never had it previously only since Uplay's recent updating.

Similar type of picture showing as you at the main menu or good main menu but pressing the E key would show all charts just a black blank.

I even tried an earlier full version and still had a problem.

I am pleased to say I eventually sorted the problem out a combination of SH5 re-installs and TWoS installs.
*I would suggest trying a new full earlier version download with the latest update would be worth trying.

What game are you running > Dvd, Download, STEAM?
What path are you using for your games installation?
It could also be a SH5.exe compatibility problem with the Patcher.
* If you still have the problem then I am sure it will be a SH5.exe patching problem with TDW and you need to try a different SH5.exe.

When do you install TWoS, do you also accept directx and Framework?

Hi h
Direct X cannot be installed when the pop up shows in the TWoS installer with later Windows platforms like 7 and 10.
The download will automatically install Direct X 9c anyway.

I am in great need of anyone's help. I have tried many things from all over the Radio Room. I really want to play this game with the TWoS mod, but it crashes when loading a mission. I can only play this game in its vanilla state. If I hover the mouse over the application (sh5.exe), it shows that the version is 1.2.0.0.

I know this may be a frequently posted question, but everybody likely has a different situation.

When using the manual updater within the game's files (gu.exe), it just boots up the game. I have separately installed the 'silent_hunter_5_col_1.02_eu' and tried it countless times, but flopped. I have tried it with the game downloaded on the same drive (C:\) and as well on a separate drive (D:\) then the main Ubisoft folder. I have downloaded Uplay separately and tried that, but no go. Changing dpi scaling settings and compatibility modes under properties of the application (sh5.exe) has gotten me nowhere. The install cabinet file viewer method hasn't worked.

I don't know what else to do at this point. Maybe I may need to give up or find a cd key for cheap.

If someone could help that would be greatly appreciated.

It would appear that you have a corrupted save game?
Do not overwrite previous saved games or use autosaves to load your game.
Always make a manual game save.

What type of installation do you have > Uplay download > DVD > STEAM?
