Default I have finally made the change...

After almost four years of subsims and revitalizing an older desktop with a reasonable graphics card, I chose to install Silent Hunter IV on it and give TMO a try. I played stock for a while and went to RFB when I decided to mod up. I am comfortable enough with RFB to where I chose to give TMO a try. I am still giving TMO her shakedown cruise, but I can say that it is different and unique. As I write this on another rig, I am playing peek-a-boo with three destroyers. The AI certainly does not pull any punches. They definitely want me VERY dead. Thankfully, the years of experience have served me well. I will keep on working with TMO and try a full campaign. If anyone has any other companion mods to recommend, I am all up for hearing them.

A lot of guys use RSRD with TMO but I personally don't, just doesn't suit the way I play the game. It's a great mod if you want to catch all the big
battles but if you like doing the patrols that are assigned to you it leaves something to be desired, much prefer TMO's traffic.

Optical Targeting Correction by CapnScurvy is the way to go if you're into manual targeting.
Check out this thread to get some idea of some of the options of OTC. There is a lot more to it than this.
