hi all
i double checked and it hadn't been posted so let's explain
after having made a tiger with interior.. now it is an U boot type VII that TARGA will relase soon... (end of july? )

more than words...

well it is not a 1/72 revel with all CMK kits (that i have to build... ) but... it doesn(t need paint or cement...

I checked the pictures on the link, and it looks interesting. Sort of like one of those medical models of a heart that you can take apart to see the valves and chambers etc.

Clearly in order to do that, some compromises have been made - check out the thickness of the deck rails for example - but it would nevertheless be a fun thing to have and probably useful as reference for 3D modellers working towards what many people on subsim desire - an explorable interior of their sub.

Good find Perdu, thanks for the heads-up

well it clearly not pretend to be an ultra acurate model like plastick tamiya or revell ^^! it's more like anime figures...
in fact it is a gashapon style figure... ie each pieces are randomly packed into boxes so with one box you'll get a random part of the sub.
lukily it is possible to buy a fullset box which probabily will content TWO full subs ....

on a japan site it is annouced at a price about $62.09 USD; €45.16 Euros, plus shipping costs of curse ...

They are listed on ebay see http://cgi.ebay.com/Japan-Targa-1-14...QQcmdZViewItem

If it's gone scroll down for other sellers listing the same item.

It's cheaper for me on ebay especially priced in US$ when the exchange rate with the £ is very favourable at the moment. Amazon Japan states that they cannot ship this item outside Japan, I wonder whether this would apply to other Japanese internet retailers?

Has anybody actually received their's, yet? I am curious as to hands-on perceptions of it. I am interested in being able to stick it on a shelf, and don't want to waste the money if it is a little too cartoony for that. From the pictures it looks like it is a shelfable thing if not a perfect model, but I would just like to hear someone's take who has actually received one.
