Yamato that sounds brilliant, though the detail on the model itself is quite high I would like to see a good damage model, Also the sinking mechanics and the realism of the damage threshold would be a key factor in this mod I would welcome the help, Karle is currently working with the model and the damage model would have to be the same size, so when Karle is able to send me a properly resized and positioned ship I will take time to hopefully develop a detailed damage model.
And I would be grateful if you could work on the Damage threshold for us Yamato, thank you.

Great! I'll start the damage model code once I find my template,
And karle, how's the model going? Yamato_NF

Ive already created a much improved damage model for the stock Yamato that was made playable. I think using the techniques developed by polyfiller for tswsm would be better again. Also why make her for the US campaign surely much better for the German campaign getting to go after her real enemies!

Bad news
I will have to unfortunately delay my start,
Details: I had a critical failure on my pc 2 weeks ago and have been borrowing a friends pc until my laptop comes, and my backup on my external has no signs of my mods on backup. So I will have to learn to start from scratch. In addition, I have had a family emergency come up. So RL is catching up. Anyway, I'll tell ya when I get started. Yamato_NF

Start when you can Yamato, I have just received a new computer, and need to re-download all the programs I need for modding, also I need to transfer a lot over to her and it's going to take time.

Update!
Good news, and bad news.
I can start in 4-6 days. and my new 8 core rig parts arrive with my gaming laptop in 3 days. so I can start after I setup shop. Ps if anyone can pm me some advice. That would be appreciated. As I am a complete noob with s3d. Bad news: I still have to start from scratch. So might take me a while! Yamato_NF

I'd try Jhapprich, Karle94 seeing as they release a lot of mods and will have good experience with this sort of thing I should imagine.

I am working on building up my skills with textures, also trying to locate some images of the Musashi's bridge to try and model to some degree of success a decent view point from which to take her into battle

Karle is now working on re-sizing the Musashi and I do believe it will take a while do to it being rather taxing on his computer, I'm busy looking for reference images on the Musashi's bridge but I'm finding it difficult to dig up any images that aren't of the external variety.
It might be due to the fact that not a lot of photos would have been taken of Japanese ships during WW2, I might be able to find something down the Library on the ship but I'll have to wait till Monday before I can check it out.

another status update:
i had some college homework to catch up on, done now. ill start digging into the files to see what i can do... but im thinking about basing it off of the existing IJN Yamato's damage model by tomhugill, i have a copy of it somewhere on my hard drive, i am sure. problem is ill have to run data recovery to find it! anyway, great to see that things are coming... Yamato_NF P.S. if karle cant get it resized, id be happy to try; as i have an 8 core PC with a great GFX chipset now
